*On the border of the Dordogne, Lot, Corrèze and Périgord

*The Pays Vallée de la Dordogne Lotoise territory is spread over approximately sixty kilometres at the far North of the Lot department. Its territory, made up of 62 communes, is north of the Quercy region, on the borders of the Limousin and Auvergne regions. Very well served by the motorway network with the Paris-Toulouse A20, it benefits from good road links with neighbouring territories and towns (Brive, Cahors or Aurillac). The Regional Natural Park of Causses du Quercy is at the south of the territory and includes the commune of Lacave.

This Territory is at the crossroads of three extremely different geographical landscapes: the green hedged farmlands of the Ségala and Limargue, the austerity of the Causses du Quercy (Martel and Gramat limestone plateaus) and, in the centre, the rich valley of the Dordogne River. A source of rich heritage, landscape and economic wealth, this valley constitutes the foundation of the Territory’s identity.

While the neighbouring site of Rocamadour Padirac is a major tourist attraction, this Territory has a diversified tourist offer, combining outdoor activities (mountain biking, kayaking, bathing etc.), cultural events (jazz in Souillac, opera in Saint-Céré etc.) and the discovery of a vast architectural and historical heritage.
